 The  curb chain is an excellent alternative and the pendant chain as a small gauge, yet sturdy chain for small charms and pendants.  

This is an excellent chain if you need to buy in bulk and need cheap silver chain that will hold up well.  The larger gauges of silver curb or cuban link chain are 

popular for men mostly in lengths 20" or 24" above.
